        Brake pads 목록

        1. A crack appears on the surface of the pad.

It is caused by overloading or overheating of the pad lining. Due to this, there is a possibility that the braking power is reduced or the lining falls off when operating the brake. In this case, place replace the pad, check that the calipers are working properly, or check the condition or thickness of the disc rotor.

        2. One-side wear occurs to one pad among the pads on the same axle

It occurs when the return of one caliper on the same axle is incorrect. If the connected axis is in one-side direction, it may increase the instability of an automobile while releasing the brake.
In this case, please replace the pad, check that the caliper is operating properly, or check the condition or thickness of the disc rotor. In addition, if necessary, both discs must be replaced on the brake axle.

        3. The pad lining fell off.

The pad lining can fall off from the part where it is not fitted when overloaded or braked frequently. When the brake is pressed, a beeping sounds or the braking force decreases.
Even though the pad is replaced, the condition or minimum thickness of the rotor are confirmed, or the sensor detector is installed, the normal sensor detector operation and pad status need to be check every 6 months.

        4. A blue band on the disk rotor appears due to overheating.

It occurs when the brake is frequently pressed on the downhill road or when the brake is used to press it for a long time. Due to this, cracks or distortions occur on the surface of the disk rotor, so the disk rotor can be overeated.
In this case, the disk rotor and pad must be immediately replaced, and during the 200-240km, it is best to avoid sudden stop for safe mounting of the newly installed pad or disk rotor.

        5. The edge of the pad lining is broken off.

It occurs when the brake pad is attached to the caliper.
It occurs when the pad part that has fallen off does not fit the size and shape of the pad that should originally be attached.
Due to this, the pad become unusable early or one-side wear occurs. Replace the pad, check the caliper is operating correctly, or confirm the condition or thickness of the disk rotor.
In addition, if necessary, both disk rotors must be replaced on the brake axis.

        6. 1-2 cracks occur on the disc rotor.

It occurs because of overload or excessive use of the brake on the bad load.
Due to the unexpected mechanical damage of the disc rotor, about 2 cracks can occur.
In this case, replace the disc rotor or pad immediately. In particular, if the crack occurs when the angle of the 2nd crack is more than 1 degree, it must be replace. In addition, the maintenance of the caliper is needed as well.

        7. The lining surface is shiny and worn like glass.

It occurs by operating the brake at low speed and low pressure.
Due to this, the brake does not operate well and sound is generated when pressing the brake.
When the degree of shinning is not severe or the mileage is not that long, grind the surface, if not so, replace the pad or check the thickness and condition of the disc rotor, and replace it if necessary.

        8. Each of the pad lining was worn differently.

It occurs when one side of the caliper is suck or is not returned to its original position.
While the brake is operating, the brake may not operate well, or one side brake may not operate.
Replace the pad or the caliper must be checked.

        9. The pad lining is stained by oil or other liquids.

It occurs because the surrounding of the pad lining is contaminated, due to this, the braking power may decrease or the one side brake may not operate.
Replace the pad, check the disc rotor on the axle and the cause of the leak must be found by checking the surrounding tube of the lining.

        10. Metallic material is found in the pad lining

It occurs because of the high heat between the pad and the disk rotor when the disk rotor is wet.
Due to this, when the brake is operated, the sound between the disc rotor and the pad is generated.
To prevent this, replace the pad, check the minimum thickness and condition of the disc rotor, or replace both disc rotors on the axle if necessary.

        11. Disc rotor or pad are worn out excessively.

It occurs when the brake pad becomes dirty with sand, mud, dust, etc., or the return of the caliper gear is incomplete. Damage occurs because the pad sensor and the pad become misaligned, and as a result, one or more pads may become excessively worn out. To prevent this, replace the pad, check the minimum thickness and condition of the disc rotor, or replace both disc rotors on the axis if necessary.

        12. Scratch occurs on the surface of the disc rotor.

It occurs when the material of the pad attached to the disc rotor becomes bigger than the disc rotor or when the new pad attached makes the disc rotor to be worn out excessively. If it is neglected, since it may affect the axis balance whenever the brake is operated or may be the cause of reducing the brake power, please go to the repair shop to replace the pad, check the thickness of the disk rotor, and replace it if necessary.
